A number of the members of the Nelligan O’Brien Payne Family Law Group (John Johnson, Jane Thomson, Pam MacEachern, Erin Lepine) helped raise money for Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa by attending their annual Evening In the Maritimes fundraising event on June 5, 2014. Marta Siemiarczuk, also a member of the Nelligan O’Brien Payne Family Law Group, sits on the board of this organization. Citizen Advocacy sets up matches between volunteer advocates and people with disabilities that can have profound effects on both. Citizen Advocacy is one of only a few Ottawa community organizations supporting people with a wide range of disabilities, including physical limitations, developmental delays, mental illness, and disabilities related to aging.
