Congratulations to our very own Erin Lepine who is 2017’s recipient of The Regional Senior Justice Award from The County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA).

The CCLA established the Regional Senior Justice (RSJ) Award in 2003 to honour a lawyer in practice ten years or less who has made an outstanding contribution as a litigator or as a solicitor within the profession, through their excellence as a professional, as well as outside the profession by making an outstanding contribution to the community.

Erin is an associate lawyer and member of our Family Law and Wills and Estates Law groups. Over the past few years, Erin has developed a niche practice in the area of fertility law. Her clients include individuals seeking support from reproductive technologies, such as intended parents, surrogate mothers, egg donors and sperm donors. She assists her clients in the preparation of legal agreements that will best protect all involved, as well as formalizing parentage after birth and litigating any disputes when necessary.

In a nomination letter written to the CCLA, one of our partners, Merredith MacLennan writes, “Erin exemplifies what all young lawyers should strive to be both inside and outside of the practice of law. It is because of lawyers like Erin that the CCLA is known as the best bar association in the province. Erin stands out among her peers for her consistently high level of professionalism, dedication to an emerging area of the law, commitment to access to justice and her involvement in continuing education and mentoring”.

Congratulation Erin, this award was well deserved.
