When shall we three meet again

In thunder, lightning, or in rain?

So begins Shakespeare’s Macbeth, which was the GCTC Lawyer Play for 2017. The production wrapped up last Saturday, and from all reports it was a rousing success. Our very own Janice Payne trod the boards as a formidable Queen Duncan, while former Nelligan O’Brien Payne partner John Johnson made a cameo appearance on the opening night.

The Lawyer Play is an annual fundraiser hosted by the County of Carleton Law Association and the Great Canadian Theatre Company. The play raised money for the theatre and for this year’s Charity Partner, Parents’ Lifelines of Eastern Ontario, a support organization for families with children and youth struggling with mental health and addiction challenges. The play raised over $120,000.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s production!
