Heather Mason is an associate lawyer at Nelligan O’Brien Payne LLP and a member of our Litigation, Insurance and Personal Injury groups. Her practice includes insurance defence and personal injury.
Prior to joining the firm, Heather articled at a national firm where she focused on civil litigation. During law school she was a Senior Editor with the Ottawa Law Review. She was selected to represent the University of Ottawa in two competitive moots, the Gale Cup Moot in criminal law and the Hicks Morley Moot in labour and employment law. Heather also worked with the University of Ottawa’s Legal Writing Academy as a peer mentor and she worked for the Canadian Bar Association’s communications department.
Heather strives to be an agent for social change and to contribute to the community, while also delivering tangible results for her clients. She is a strong advocate and enjoys helping people reach their goals. Heather is committed to her clients, and works hard to achieve a satisfactory result for them. She is diligent and responsive, and is dedicated to ensuring that her clients’ rights and interests are upheld and protected.
Outside of the office, Heather enjoys running and hiking, and has participated in the half marathon here in Ottawa. She loves the water, and while completing her undergraduate degree was on Trent University’s rowing and synchronized swimming teams. She also loves to travel.
