Jill Lewis is an associate lawyer at Nelligan O’Brien Payne LLP, practising in our Labour and Employment Law groups.
Originally from cottage country in the Haliburton Highlands, Jill moved to Ottawa to receive her J.D. from the University of Ottawa. During law school, Jill was a member of the competitive mediation team. She represented the University of Ottawa in Paris, France at the ICC International Mediation Competition and received first place in the Weiler Mediation Competition. Jill was also awarded the Bertha Wilson Scholarship, the P. Andree Wylie Scholarship, and the Greg Ratushny Scholarship for her commitment to community service. She is currently an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division.
Jill has always been known as a people-person and she applies that approach to her practice. She believes in actively listening to her clients’ needs and interests in order to find them a solution.
Outside of the office, Jill loves to go hiking with her husband and their foxhound, Hunter. You can also find her visiting family in Haliburton and soaking in the natural setting as much as she can.
