Peggy King is a Workers’ Compensation Consultant for Nelligan O’Brien Payne, with extensive experience in adjudicating the claims of injured workers. She was employed for more than a decade with the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and has significant insight into determining an employee’s entitlement to benefits and services.

Peggy is driven by a desire to help people, especially those who are having difficulty negotiating the system. She understands the impact an injury can have on a person’s life and how it can affect their family. Peggy tries to ensure that workers receive what they are genuinely entitled to, so they can begin to get their lives back on track. She excels at building relationships with employers, which helps to facilitate back-to-work programs for workers. Peggy is straightforward and honest, able to clearly communicate the legal process to her clients, and explain the ramifications for all the parties involved.
Working as an adjudicator (case manager) has honed her skills in negotiating and resolving employee/employer disputes. She is dedicated to ensuring people can safely and effectively return to the workplace in accommodated positions where appropriate, and receive fair compensation for their injuries. Peggy provides representation at all levels of appeal, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Appeals Branch, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT).
