Kyle Stout is an associate lawyer in the Business Law Group at Nelligan Law.
His practice is focused on all aspects of corporate, business and ancillary issues, including incorporations, corporate re-organizations, and mergers and acquisitions. As a member of the Commercial Litigation Group, Kyle also dons the cloth on behalf of his business clients, routinely appearing before the Courts in a variety of corporate, commercial and contractual disputes, including shareholder disputes and debt collection matters.
Kyle is also called to the Nunavut Bar, where he provides similar services, with particular emphasis on commercial litigation and conveyancing matters.
Kyle has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Small Claims), the Ontario Court of Justice, the Nunavut Court of Justice, and the Federal Court of Canada. In law school he participated and received honourable mention in the Labour Law Moot at Ottawa University. Kyle also participated in the Nelligan Law First Year Moot Court Competition, returning as a judge in subsequent years.
Kyle has always been drawn to the advisory relationship, the challenge of solving legal problems and guiding his clients towards a solution. Negotiation is his passion, and he excels at the opportunity to advance a client’s position so that their business aims are reached.
Kyle is honest and straight-forward with his clients, making sure to keep them aware of their legal position and the factors at play. He is assertive and driven, and appreciates the fact that resolving legal issues is always a team effort.
