Emma Lodge is an associate lawyer in the labour and employment law group.
She joined Nelligan Law as a summer student and completed her articles with the firm before returning as an associate. Her practice is focused on workplace issues and advising unions, employees, and employers on issues related to labour and employment, human rights, and administrative law. Emma knows that workplace issues can be challenging and that the law is complex. She passionately advocates for her clients while ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout each step.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and Juris Doctor from McGill University’s Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. She’s originally from Alberta and spent several years representing Canada in the sport of biathlon before attending university.
During law school, Emma served as a Director at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill helping to manage a bilingual, student-run clinic that provides free legal information to community members and students. She earned a spot in the Canadian National Negotiation Competition and was recognized for her extracurricular involvement as club leader, class president, and group assistant for the first-year legal writing course.
If you’re looking for Emma outside of the office, chances are you’ll find her exploring Gatineau Park while running, skiing, or riding her bike. She’s an avid reader and an ice cream enthusiast.
