Erika Young brings over ten years of focused experience in family law, offering clients a steady and knowledgeable hand during some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Since being called to the Bar in 2014, Erika has built a reputation for her thoughtful approach, strong advocacy, and commitment to achieving meaningful results for her clients.

Her practice covers the full range of family law matters, with particular emphasis on parenting issues, child-related disputes, and cases involving family violence. Erika is also highly experienced in financial matters, including spousal and child support, property division, and domestic contracts. Whether a case calls for negotiation or litigation, Erika provides clear, strategic guidance tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Erika has appeared at every level of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Her courtroom experience, combined with her skill in resolving matters outside of court, ensures that clients receive well-rounded and effective representation.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Erika has called Ottawa home since 2014 and is a dedicated member of the local legal community. In recognition of her professional excellence, she was named one of Best Lawyers’ “Ones to Watch” in 2024 and 2025.

Outside of her legal work, Erika enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, and visiting the East Coast whenever she can.
