Kiran Uppal is an associate lawyer practicing exclusively in the area of family law.
Her practice includes providing guidance on a wide variety of matters, including divorce and separation, child and spousal support, division of property, and co-habitation and marriage contracts.
Kiran understands that many of her clients are faced with the most challenging moments of their lives. She believes in shouldering their burden by helping them navigate the legal system, and works hard to provide solutions as thoughtfully and efficiently as possible. Kiran thoroughly enjoys working with people, and prides herself on being meticulous, hard-working, and compassionate.
While in law school, Kiran worked at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic in the family law division. She also developed her oral advocacy skills throughout law school, including winning the BLG Negotiation Competition and earning a coveted spot on the University of Ottawa’s Walsh Family Law Negotiation team.
Originally from Toronto, Kiran has enjoyed the calmer pace (and less traffic) of Ottawa. She loves going to restaurants with her friends and family, watching a movie at the Mayfair Cinema, and curling up with a good book. During the summer, you’ll find Kiran in Muskoka where she is an active volunteer with Campfire Circle, a non-profit organization that provides camp programs to kids and families affected by childhood cancer.
