Frances Shapiro Munn is a partner at Nelligan Law, working exclusively in civil litigation with a focus on personal injury, insurance defence litigation, and professional liability litigation.

Frances represents plaintiffs in a wide range of personal injury matters, including medical malpractice claims, sexual assaults, prisoners’ claims, slip-and-fall accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. Frances also frequently represents major insurance companies. She has represented insurers in accident benefits claims, professional malpractice claims, and improper road and sidewalk maintenance claims.

She has appeared before Small Claims Court of Ontario, the Ontario Superior Court, and administrative tribunals, including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

Frances is sensitive to the needs of each of her clients. She understands that the litigation process is daunting for most individuals. Frances prides herself on making sure that her clients fully understand the legal issues and stakes at hand in their litigation and that they are aware of all of their options.

Outside of the office, Frances maintains an active lifestyle. She enjoys playing tennis, hosting barbecues for friends and family, and travelling overseas.
