Nelligan O’Brien Payne partner Peter Cronyn had this to say about Pam’s appointment:

“This is truly bittersweet news. It is good news for Pam because this appointment is richly deserved. And it is good for our judiciary because it just got a whole lot stronger with such a wise and able legal mind.

But it is also sad news because we will be losing one of our great lawyers and leaders. Pam has always been an enthusiastic and energetic force within the firm and an incredible ambassador of the firm to the outside world.”

This comes close on the heels of the honour Pam received from the Ontario Bar Association earlier this year, where she was the recipient of the Award of Excellence in the Promotion of Women’s Equality. You can read more about that award here.

In support of the OBA award, Stephanie Lewis wrote this about Pam:

During my time here at Nelligan O’Brien Payne, I have seen Pam champion equality issues within and outside of our firm. She does this irrespective of public support or popular opinion. I find her courage in this regard both admirable and inspiring.

Congratulations, Pam. You will certainly be missed!
