Karine Dion

Counsel

Karine Dion is Counsel with Nelligan Law, practicing in our Employment Law group.

Her work includes meeting with clients to provide them with legal and strategic advice and represent their best interests, including through the various steps of the litigation process. She represents both employees and employers.

Karine is actively involved with student recruitment and leading student seminars at the firm. She is fluently bilingual and represents her clients in both official languages.

Prior to joining Nelligan Law, Karine practised insurance defence at a large Canadian firm. During law school she participated in the Laskin Moot Competition in French, and she also has experience in advocacy and criminal law.

Karine is committed to her clients and to resolving their legal issues. She is inquisitive by nature and works hard to get her clients the compensation they deserve. Karine appreciates what they are going through, understands that practical solutions are often just as if not more important than legal solutions, and strives to be accessible and responsive in all communication.

Outside of work, Karine spends most of her time outdoors and travelling around the world. In winter that means ice-skating and skiing, while in summer she likes playing softball, kayaking and swimming. She also loves adventure travelling, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, hiking the entire Torres del Paine in Patagonia, hiking the Laugavegur trail in Iceland, hiking a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail in California, scuba-diving in Belize and Jamaica, and hiking the Inca trail in Peru.
